Contact Lens Patient Instruction Review
CARING FOR YOUR LENSES
For continued safe and comfortable wearing of your lenses, it is important that
you routinely clean and disinfect your lenses (neutralize if necessary) using the
care regimen that we recommended for you.  You should not wear your lenses
until the cleaning and disinfecting (neutralizing if necessary) and storage
procedures have been completed.

Your lenses must be cleaned on a routine basis to remove any mucus,
secretions, films, or deposits which may have accumulated during wear.  The
ideal time to clean your lenses is immediately after removing them.

Never rinse your lenses in water from the tap.  There are two reasons for this:

1)  Tap water contains many impurities that can contaminate or damage the
lenses and may lead to eye infections or injury.

2)  You might lose the lens down the drain.

Do not use tweezers or other tools to remove a lens from a lens container.  The
lens should be poured into a clean hand.  This lowers the risk of infection and
tearing of the lens.
