Our Excellent Staff:

If you've stopped in the office lately
you've seen that Carol’s warm smile
is always on her face! She has the
most incredibly positive attitude
about life! She is a truly kind, caring,
conscientious and ambitious person.
Carol is our newest eye care family
member and we feel very lucky she
that decided to join us. Carol is not
new to opticianry though. She has
worked in the optical field for over
30 years and has been a licensed
optician since 1986. Carol is
certified by the American Board of
Opticianry (ABO) and the National
Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE).
Carol is well-skilled in all areas of
opticianry. She truly enjoys assisting
people in selecting the eyewear to
best fit their particular life style
needs and personality, as well as
teaching people about the latest
advancements in eyewear materials
and designs.
In Carol’s spare time she enjoys golf,
gardening, oil painting and music.
Carol said “I love working with the
highly professional and caring
doctors and staff at Hebron Eye
Care. I love that the main goal here
is to provide the highest quality in
eye care in a friendly and family-like
manner.”
Licensed Optician
Bookkeeper
Wendy is Dr. Dempsey's wife. In
1998 she left her career as an
actuary to help her husband with the
business side of Colchester Eye Care.
She has assumed many roles over
the years: receptionist, optician,
office manager, frame stylist, and
technician.
Wendy is currently linked from home
and wearing the bookkeeper's hat.
While she misses all the
patients/friends she used to see on a
daily basis she is loving working from
home and playing with her two
daughters!
Office Manager
There really is something about Mary!
Actually, there are many things - she is
smart, sweet, funny, organized, caring,
honest and true. To meet her is to
like and respect her.
Mary has been a medical office
manager for 25 years and she really
knows her stuff! The doctors that she
worked for in the past could not say
enough good things about her and we
now know why. We hope we never
have to tell a future employer how
wonderful she really is!!!
Mary is a state and federally licensed
wildlife rehabilitator. She spends her
spare time caring for sick, injured and
orphaned wildlife and migratory birds.
In addition to the wildlife that regularly
passes through, she shares her home
with a permanent assortment of dogs,
cats, horses, goats, a potbellied pig,
and an African grey parrot. Needless
to say, things are hopping at her
house!
Mary states that "The main reason I
decided to join Hebron Eye Care is
because it is important to me to work
with people who lend a personal touch
in caring for their patients and who I
enjoy working with. It is also very
important to me to be able to look
forward to going to work every day!"
Jo came in as a patient into our
office when she was new to this area.
She had previously been employed by
an airline for many years - we won't
share how many! She was looking
for something to keep her busy - well
we found some things to keep her
busy!!
Jo has become the master at many
things since she joined us. She can
cover the front desk, understand and
explain patients benefits, teach
someone how to insert, remove and
care for their contact lenses and has
become our insurance expert. She
also does all of this with a huge
smile!
We feel lucky to have found yet
another amazing person to help our
patients at both of our offices. Jo
goes out of her way to make
everyone happy.
